Chocolate Walnut Cake

Ingredients:
1.25 cup plain flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3 eggs
1 small teaspoon baking powder
1 small teaspoon chocolate essence
1 cup white butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup finely grounded walnut
1 small teaspoon salt

For Icing:
1/2 kg white butter
3 1/2 big teaspoon cocoa powder
1 cup icing sugar
1 small teaspoon chocolate essence
Edible red colour(powdered form)

For Decoration:
1 1/2 cup grounded walnuts
5-6 cherries
2 solid walnuts with shell removed

Recipe:
1.Mix plain flour,cocoa powder,baking powder and salt and pass the mixture through a sieve three times.
2.Take out white butter in a bowl and allow it to soften up.Add sugar to the white butter and whip them together thoroughly.
3.Beat in the eggs, one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture and mix it up well.
4.In the above stated mixture,add the flour mixture prepared in step 1 and make a smooth batter without lumps.Add chocolate essence and again mix it up.
5.In the cake batter so prepared,add finely chopped walnuts and stir them in.
6.Preheat the oven to 375 degree Centigrade . In a cake making dish,apply butter paper,pour the cake batter into it and allow it to bake.
7.The cake approximately takes 35-40 minutes to get ready or your cake is ready when a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
8.When the cake is ready take it out of the oven,let it cool and then take it out from the cake making dish onto a serving plate.

Icing:
1.In a bowl,put out white butter to soften up.
2.Mix together icing sugar and cocoa powder in a separate bowl and sieve.
3.In the softened butter,add cocoa-sugar mixture,red colour and mix it up thoroughly.Add chocolate essence and mix it up lightly.
4.Divide the cake into two round parts by cutting along the shape of the cake horizontally.
5.Apply a layer of icing on one half of the cake with the help of a knife.Put the other half on top and press it up softly.
6.Now,apply the remaining icing on the whole cake and put it up in the freezer such that the icing solidifies.
7.With the help of knife dipped in ice cold water,moisten up the upper layer of icing.Around the corners,stick up chopped walnuts and on the upper layer decorate solid walnuts and cherries in your desired manner and allow it to refrigerate for approximately,one hour.
8.After the icing has settled,put it out and share it with your loved ones.
