Its a native Filipino(Ilocano) dish of grilled or fried pork liempo served with bagoong, tomato, and onion relish
Ingredients:


  • 1 20g MAGGI Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 kg pork liempo sliced 2″ thick
  • oil for frying

    Relish: Combine -



  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped wansoy
  • 1/4 cup bagoong balayan

Procedure:


  • In a small bowl combine the MAGGI Sinigang Sampalok Mix and sugar. Rub pork with the mixture and let stand for at least 20 minutes.
  • Heat oil and fry marinated pork over very slow heat until golden brown.

  • Chop pork slices into bite-size pieces and serve with tomato-onion relish.
