How to prepare Minced Pork w/ Mushroom Noodles

Yet another Asian dish that will satisfy your appetite. Personally i like this food because i'm half Chinese and also it is very mouth watering the noodles are just so smooth and soft inside your mouth. It is also best serve with chili so here it is enjoy cooking and especially EATING! Very Happy

MINCED PORK WITH MUSHROOM NOODLES

Servings in 6 good for 6 persons

The Ingredients:
7 cups cooked wor mein noodle*
1 cup dry black or shiitake mushrooms, soaked and sliced
1 cup water from soaking mushrooms
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon vegetarian mushroom oyster sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon canola oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup water
1 large clove garlic, sliced in half

2/3 pound (or 1 ½ cup) unseasoned ground meat (chicken breast ,turkey, or pork)

Marinade Sauce:
2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon canola oil
½ teaspoon cornstarch
¼ teaspoon sugar

steps on how to cook:
Soak mushrooms overnight and save water.

In large pot bring 4 quarts water to rolling boil. Add wor mein noodles and bring
back to boil. Cook until noodles are soft but slight chewy, about 5-8 minutes. If
making ahead, rinse well in cold water until cool. Drain, set aside and keep warm.

Mix ground meat and marinade sauce. Heat oil in pan, add garlic, meat and sauté
on high until cooked. Set aside.

On medium heat, sauté mushrooms in water from soaking, add ½ teaspoon salt
and 1 teaspoon canola oil and cover. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Add ½ cup
water, 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil
and 1 teaspoon cornstarch.

Bring back to a boil. Add meat and vegetarian oyster sauce. Sauté together. Pour
sauce on top of noodles.

*Note
Wor mein noodles are flat wheat noodles. They look like fettuccine noodles,
which CANNOT be used as substitute.
