How to Cook Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are delicious served with a good sized bowl of soup. There are so many ways that could be imagined to make a good Grilled Cheese Sandwich, that the list of the different ways would be a lenghty one. With all of the different kinds of cheeses and breads that are available, there is no end to the possibilities of the Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

The utensils that will be needed to prepare the Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are as follows:

One frying pan

One Egg Turner

Plate or Plates for Serving the sandwiches

The ingredients that are needed for the Grilled Cheese Sandwiches is not going to break the bank, and they are as follows:

Butter or Margarine

Texas Toast - Fresh not Frozen

An assortment of Cheeses - use whatever kind of cheese that you like for your Grilled Cheese Sandwich. When that I make Grilled Cheese Sandwiches at home, I like to use at least two different kinds of cheeses. I like to use Pepper Jack cheese and some kind of cheese that melts good, like Velveeta.

To prepare the Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, take two slices of the Texas Toast and spread one side of the toast with either the butter or the margarine. Place one slice of the buttered toast, buttered side down, in the frying pan on medium heat, (if you have your heat too high on the stove, the bread will get too browned and the cheese inside of the sandwich will not be melted). Then place your cheese on top of the slice of the toast that is in the frying pan. Next, place the last slice of the buttered toast on top of the cheese, this time placing the toast buttered side up.

Fry, turning the Grilled Cheese Sandwich for about ten minutes, or until both sides of the Texas Toast is browned and the cheese inside of the sandwich is melted.
